Welcome to the homepage of the Borghi research group at Utah State University.

The research in the lab focuses on the study of flower metabolism. We study primary metabolites and the genes regulating their synthesis. How and why the content of floral metabolites changes in response to environmental and genetic perturbations is also subject of study in the laboratory. We collaborate with pollinator biologists who help us understand insects' preferences for floral metabolites, while we investigate those plant traits at a molecular level. Additional information about our research can be found in our research page.
